Head of Programming and Operations
Job Title: Head of Program & Operations
Reports To: Executive Director
Location: Winston-Salem, NC |Full-Time, Exempt
The Center for Creative Economy (CCE) seeks a Head of Program & Operations to play a key role in delivering high-impact programs and ensuring smooth organizational operations. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, resourceful professional who thrives in a dynamic nonprofit and entrepreneurial environment.
The Head will oversee the full lifecycle of CCE programs (Velocity, Kinetic, and Pathways), manage event logistics, coordinate with mentors and partners, and support program participants. The role also encompasses operations, including data and technology management, event planning, and reporting. While primarily internal-facing, this position requires strong relationship skills to effectively engage creative entrepreneurs, mentors, and community partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement CCE programs, including recruitment, onboarding, and scheduling.
- Organize program events such as workshops, pitch competitions, and Demo Day.
- Build strong relationships with entrepreneurs, mentors, and stakeholders.
- Support grant reporting, donor data, and impact tracking.
- Manage program operations and technology platforms to ensure efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in business, nonprofit management, entrepreneurship, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in program or operations management (nonprofit or entrepreneurial setting preferred).
- Strong organizational, communication, and event-planning skills.
- Proficiency with digital tools (Basecamp, Google Suite, Monday.com, Little Green Light).
- Passion for empowering creative entrepreneurs.

Winter/Spring 2026 Intern
Are you a student passionate about creativity, entrepreneurship, and community impact? The Center for Creative Economy (CCE) is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support our nonprofit’s marketing, programming, and operational efforts during Winter/Spring 2026. You’ll gain hands-on experience in a mission-driven organization that supports creative entrepreneurs across early stages of business development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support such as scheduling, data entry, and preparing materials for meetings and events
- Assist with donor management by updating contact records and maintaining the database
- Support program operations by tracking attendance and updating the learning management system
- Help with setup and cleanup for program sessions and events
- Draft content for social media, blogs, and newsletters to promote programs and share impact
- Develop alumni spotlights for use on CCE’s website and social platforms
- Assemble sponsor packets and assist with outreach and stewardship efforts
- Capture photos and short videos during events and program sessions for marketing use
- Attend team meetings and assist with day-to-day operations as needed
What We’re Looking For:
- A proactive, positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Interest in marketing, social media, entrepreneurship, or nonprofit work
- Comfort with tools like Canva, Mailchimp, and Google Workspace (or willingness to learn)
Internship Details:
- This is an unpaid, in-person internship with support for academic credit
- Ideally, the intern will work 10–15 hours per week, 2 days a week, between the hours of 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Monday-Thursday, from December through May
- The exact hours and duration are flexible based on the intern’s needs and academic schedule

- Velocity: A 10-week accelerator for creative entrepreneurs to grow viable businesses
- Kinetic: A 6-week business boot camp focused on customer discovery and idea validation
- Pathways: A mindset training program focused on aspiring entrepreneurs
